UAP-BC is the 131st Chapter of the United Architects of the Philippines

The United Architects of the Philippines- British Columbia (UAP-BC) Chapter was formally welcomed into the UAP family as the 131st chapter in a chartering ceremony held last October 15, 2011 at the Kentizen Fusion Lounge Restaurant in Vancouver BC Canada.
UAP National President Ramon S. Mendoza and Consul General Jose A.P. Ampeso of the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver headed the guests list who graced the affair. Mr. Tom “Tatay” Avendano, CEO of the Multicultural Helping House Society and other community leaders in the Filipino-Canadian community were also present to witness the chartering of the professional group.
Consul General Jose A.P. Ampeso encouraged the group to reach out fellow professionals in BC and at the same time help our less-privelege ‘kababayans’ in our country. He led the induction of the UAP-BC Chapter officers and directors.
In an elaborate and solemn ceremony, UAP National President Arch. Ramon Mendoza presented to UAP-BC Charter President Joe Larano the Charter Certificate bearing the names of 38 charter members. The presentation of the certificate makes UAP BC Chapter as the 131st chapter of the United Architects of the Philippines. In a symbolic gesture of recognition of the UAP-BC Chapter, the UAP National President Arch. Ramon S. Mendoza presented likewise the Philippine and UAP flags, the UAP gavel and the UAP-BC Chapter official banner to its charter President Joe Larano.
In his inaugural address, Arch. Joe Larano extolled the strong commitment made by every members to make UAP-BC Chapter a reality. He emphasized the three major objectives and goals that will become the central focal point of the chapter’s existence. He urged members to come forward and share their talents and resources to benefit other members. In his speech, Arch. Joe Larano urged the membership to support the UAP national programs.
UAP National Arch. President Ramon S. Mendoza, in his message congratulated the UAP-BC Chapter and challenged them to continue to unite themselves in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the chapter. He stressed the current motto, “Redefining Service to Membership, Key to Service-Oriented Architecture” in sustaining UAP aims.
